Kata is a freelance photographer, movement artist and costume designer from Poland, currently based in Berlin.

Her creation process in both photography and dance is based in intuitive movement, putting focus on sensations and allowing the subconscious to take lead to then contrast it with the ordinary. Kata’s works have been showcased in Vogue Poland, i-D, Kaltblut Magazine, Waste Not exhibition at the IFS Somerset House, London and others. She has also been professionally involved in the field of dance theatre through photography and costume since 2016, working with various companies and theatres such as Sadler's Wells Theatre. In 2020/2021 she was part of the Dance Intensive program at Tanzfabrik. She then continued to develop her movement language in Berlin and her works have been showed at the Internationales Solo Tanztheater Festival in Stuttgart, SoloDuo Festival in Köln and others. Since becoming also a Grinberg Method trainee she’s working a lot with body awareness, cellular memory and links it with desires for surprise and absurd in her creations. Her main focus is on the sensual totality of a creation and discovering a universe unique to every piece that allows both the artist, performer and viewer to be transported someplace else, together.
